Chargé d’Affairs Marn addresses UNGA's Sixth Committee

 

New York, 6 November 2012 - Mr. Matej Marn, Chargé d’Affairs, a.i. of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Slovenia to the UN addressed the Sixth Committee Agenda Item 79: ‘Report of the International Law Commission on the work of its sixty-fourth session’. 

Mr. Marn addressed the chapters VI: Immunity of state officials from foreign criminal jurisdiction, VIII: Formation and evidence of customary international law, IX: The obligation to extradite or prosecute (aut dedere aut judicare).

He stressed that Slovenia highly values the endeavours of the Commission and its Special Rapporteurs, particularly their thorough work on the current topics. He continued that the Commission will have Slovenia’s full support in the future, also through providing the commentaries and observations requested.
