Ambassador Å tiglic addresses the Third Committee under agenda item on Advancement of Women

 

New York, 12 October 2010 - Ambassador Sanja Å tiglic, Permanent Representative of Slovenia to the UN addressed today Third Committee under agenda item on Advancement of Women.

Ambassador Å tiglic emphasized that Slovenia attaches great importance to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women.

Ambassador Å tiglic welcomed important developments in 2010 in the field of the advancement of women and called for the effective implementation of established mechanisms for the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women.
