The Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Nauru established diplomatic relations

 

New York, 11 March 2010 - Ambassador Sanja Štiglic, Permanent Representative of Slovenia to the UN and Ambassador Marlene Moses, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Nauru to the UN signed the Joint Communiqué on the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Nauru.

At the signing the Ambassadors stressed the importance of strengthening the already existing good relations and cooperation between the two countries and the Permanent missions in New York on all issues of common concern.

The Ambassadors also expressed their solidarity with the people and the Government of Japan after the devastating earthquake and tsunami in north-eastern Japan.
